Sam was just 17, when he was stolen from our lives as a victim of cancer. Sam died on Monday 4th June at 8.17am. He died at home, in his bed, surrounded by his mum, Jane, dad, Kevin and brother Ross. Sam lived in a little village just of the A39 in Somerset. He was a college student.

Sam was one of those people that never stopped smiling. Even if he was having the worst day ever. he would always find something to smile at. Sam was so physically and mentally strong, and I know that throughout this terrible illness, Sam changed so many people's lives. Sam was so strong, and after battling with cancer twice, it just proves how much of a fighter he really was. Sam had a spark that will never go out, and even know, when I close my eyes, I see Sam sparkling away, just like he always has done. He gave himself such a strong positive reputation of himself, and no one will ever forget him.

We all love you Sam, and you are greatly missed.

If heaven had a phone

I Cannot dial your Number,
I Can't get through to You,
I Called the Operator,
She did all that she could Do.

There is no code for Heaven,
I Cannot place the Call,
No Numbers left to Call,
I Reckon I've tried them All.

If Heaven had a Phone,
I'd Ring you Every Day,
If Heaven had a Phone,
There's things I want to Say.

To Tell you that I love You,
And Miss you Every Day,
How much I prayed to God,
That He could have let you Stay,
but heaven dont have a phone,
so in our hearts you will always stay.
lots of love theresa xxx

It's just over a year since you have gone and you continue to be an inspiration to many and are missed by all.
I'll remember you for your infectious smile and laughter that just spread around the room when we were all in your presence.
I know you are strong now, where ever you are, like you were strong here.
You live on in many hearts and will never be forgotten x

Your Smile and Love of Music

I just read a message your Mother wrote to Jack Johnson about how you introduced her to his music. She wrote about your love of music and your wonderful ability to play the guitar. I looked at your pictures on the website and saw your smile, courage , and love of life. You remind me of my son Danny who died of brain cancer on October 31, 2007 at age 19. He also played the guitar, sang ,and smiled through his journey with cancer. May your songs of life and smiles continure to challenge those of us who loves you both appreciate the manhy ways you continue to touch our lives!

Never met you Sam but worked with your grandfather for more than 15 years and saw him today when he spoke very movingly about you. I also remember playing your dad at badminton in the Blackburn League - a left hander- and always difficult to beat.
Thinking of you now Kevin, and the rest of your family.
I was so sorry to here this sad news, but uplifted to hear about the impression Sam left on all those who knew him.
My deepest condolences,
Stuart

Tribute to your Life

Your grandparents miss you so very much 'Sam'.
They have both recently had surgery and throughout this time you have been constantly in their thoughts.
I only had the opportunity of meeting your parents when they came to 'Blackburn' and you would be so very proud of all your family.
The care and concern your family give to each other brings tears to my eyes.
I never had the opportunity to meet you in person (my loss) but you have been an example of courage to everyone around you.
My very best regards to 'Ross'. You have left a lasting impression on all of us.
Good Night, God Bless.

poem fo sam=

How do I say goodbye to you
When we never really said hello?
Is it any easier to walk away from the seeds of a friendship
Never given time to root and grow?
(Grow into what – a bigger friendship? I don’t know.)

And how is it possible to miss someone
I hardly ever see?
How can I know if you were my hero,
When you rode into the sunset
Long before the credits rolled.
How can there be a formal end to something
Which had no real beginning?

I can only thank you for the rainbows you brought to my storms;
For the silver lining you stitched in my clouds.
It was refreshing to find,
In this Sea of Skepticism,
Another fish peering at the world through a prism.
So, thank you for the laughs we had
And those that might have been.
I really cannot say goodbye.
Please, always be my friend.
